1200 Series Reusable PTFE Hose Ends

Our premium 1200 Series reusable PTFE hose ends deliver unmatched performance for critical fluid transfer applications. Engineered with precision machining and high-quality materials, these fittings create reliable and long-lasting connections when paired with PTFE hose for high-pressure automotive systems where temperature resistance and high working pressure capabilities are essential.

Plumb your vehicle with the unrivaled fuel compatibility and high pressure rating of PTFE Hose with the RHP 1200 Series Reusable Swivel Seal PTFE fittings. As always, the RHP 1200 Series fittings are cut from 6061 T-6 aluminum on our CNC machine turning centers providing superior thread strength and smooth assembly. Our double Viton O-ring seals provide leak free performance when used with a wide range of racing fuels and fluids. RHP’s famous hand polishing and color consistent anodizing add the final touch of quality that professional engine builders have come to expect from Redhorse.

The RHP 1200 Series Reusable Swivel Seal PTFE are engineered for the exclusive use with our 303, and 302, series PTFE Hoses. NOT to be used with standard braided racing hoses or push lock hoses.

In order to re-use the hose end you will need to purchase a package of our replacement ferrules.

RHP hose ends can be easily assembled with the help of our custom made tools.

Secure, Leak-Free Connections with PTFE Hose Ends

When engineering a high-performance vehicle's fluid delivery system, the integrity of every connection is paramount. Redhorse Performance's 1200 Series PTFE hose ends are precision-manufactured to ensure secure, leak-free connections under extreme conditions. The unique design enables PTFE assemblies to withstand extremely high pressures and temperatures.

These reusable PTFE hose ends feature a three-piece construction with a special compression ferrule that gets installed between the socket end and male nipple portion of the hose end. This combination creates an extremely strong compression seal that makes our PTFE the go-to choice for plumbing high-pressure systems. The anodized aluminium construction provides excellent strength-to-weight ratio while resisting corrosion in harsh environments. Each fitting is precisely cut to our in-house drawings and standards, ensuring reliability in critical applications ranging from fuel delivery systems to oil cooling circuits. The precision machining guarantees consistent thread engagement and proper alignment, eliminating potential leak paths even under pressure thresholds up to 3,000psi and beyond.

Designed to Work Exclusively with our PTFE hoses

Redhorse Performance's 1200 Series reusable hose ends are specifically engineered to work with our PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) lined hoses and are a great choice to plumb a large variety of applications. We offer various series of PTFE hoses, most notable in the traditional Stainless Steel braid finish along with a unique, sleek black Polyurethane coated line. We also offer multiple series of PTFE hose with carbon linings which dissipatse potential static charges that may be generated in high-volume fluid systems. Non carbon lined options available as well with a more attractive price point. This versatility makes PTFE assemblies ideal for fuel systems, oil circuits, and high-pressure hydraulic applications.

Our PTFE hose end internal design accommodates the unique properties of PTFE hose, including its non-porous surface and exceptional resistance to fuel permeation. The precision-machined nipple creates a tight, mechanical engagement without damaging the PTFE liner, maintaining the hose's pressure rating and flow characteristics. Available in sizes from -04AN to -12AN, these fittings support everything from Dry Sump Oil systems to high pressure Power Steering lines. The standardized AN threading ensures compatibility with other components in your fluid system while the various configurations (straight, 45°, 90°, and 180°) allow for proper routing in tight spaces. The smooth bore design minimizes flow restriction, optimizing system performance in demanding automotive applications.

Frequently Asked Question

Are PTFE hose ends reusable?

Yes, Redhorse Performance's 1200 Series PTFE hose ends are fully reusable. Unlike crimped fittings that require a special crimping machine and (nearly) permanent installation, these three-piece fittings can be disassembled and reinstalled multiple times as long as the compression ferrule is replaced. We offer our 1200 series Replacement Ferrules separately and in 2 pcs/pkg for all sizes. This reusability makes them ideal for prototype development, racing applications, repairs in the field/at the race track, and systems that require periodic maintenance or modification.

What does PTFE stand for?

PTFE stands for Polytetrafluoroethylene which is a synthetic fluoropolymer with exceptional chemical resistance and temperature stability. Our PTFE hoses combine a smooth, non-porous inner liner made from this material with reinforcement layers typically consisting of stainless steel or synthetic Fiber braiding. This construction creates a hose with superior resistance to corrosive fluids, extreme temperatures (-65°F to +450°F), and high pressure without the permeation issues common in rubber-based hoses, making it ideal for fuel, oil, and brake system applications.

Can you use hose clamps on PTFE?

Absolutely not. Standard hose clamps are not recommended for securing PTFE hoses. The smooth, non-porous PTFE material makes the hose very stiff and not malleable so tightening down a clamp over the hose will not let the hose form and seal over a barb or male flares or bungs.

Is PTFE better than a regular hose?

PTFE hose definitely offers significant advantages over regular rubber-based AN hoses for certain applications. Its superior chemical resistance makes it ideal for modern fuels containing ethanol and other additives that can degrade rubber compounds. PTFE's wider temperature range (-65°F to 450°F versus -40°F to 257-302°F for rubber) ensures reliable performance in extreme environments. Our 302/303/304/305 series PTFE hose is capable of plumbing very high pressures too – as much as 3,000 PSI of working pressure, making it the go-to for plumbing high pressure Power Steering systems. The non-stick inner surface also reduces flow restriction and prevents buildup that can occur in rubber hoses over time. While PTFE typically commands a higher price point, its longer service life, zero fuel permeation, and consistent performance in critical systems often justify the investment for serious performance applications.
