Redhorse Performance to Showcase Racing Celebrities and Products at PRI

Hickory Hills, Illinois – Redhorse Performance Inc. will host an exhibit at the biggest day of motorsports in the world—the 30th annual Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Trade Show, in Indianapolis, Dec. 7-9, 2017. We can be found in booth No. 2913.

Besides showcasing our engine plumbing components—including the hoses, fittings, adapters and brake lines that great engine builds rely on—we are pleased to feature our products on the small-tire 1998 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am “Black Ops,” from the Discovery Channel’s “Street Outlaws: New Orleans,” and Sexton Racing’s Chevy S10.

Meet driver Travis Santa Cruz in the Redhorse Performance booth with his car ”Black Ops” on Thursday from 2-4 p.m., on Friday from 1-3 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Meet hot rod racing legend Larry Sexton at the booth on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., and on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. Sexton will appear with his 2003 Chevy S10 with a 399-cubic-inch small-block engine with 905 horsepower at 7900 RPMs.

About “Street Outlaws: New Orleans”

Street racing is exploding across the country and taking new form, with racers organizing exhilarating, underground street-racing leagues and establishing teams to represent their respective cities. One of those fledgling teams is now featured on “Street Outlaws: New Orleans.”

The series follows a motley crew of street racers in The Big Easy as they band together to prove they are the nation's fastest. Travis Santa Cruz stars in the Discovery Channel reality docuseries.

Santa Cruz is one of the few racers that lives in New Orleans proper, and he brings a big-city attitude when he races. The main race road, "Da Pad," is in Santa Cruz’s backyard, and he thinks that gives him the home court advantage.

About Larry Sexton

Larry Sexton has had an intimate role in the race circuit for more than 50 years, and besides his grandchildren, nothing else excites him like racing, cars and engines.

Sexton grew up just minutes away from Tennessee State Fair Grounds, and he was 13 years old when racing first came to Nashville. Sexton first competed at Nashville throughout the early 1960s, achieving several early wins.

In the late 1960s, Sexton gave into the drag racing bug and jumped in with both feet, building all-out racecars from the ground up. Larry built all of his own chassis, suspensions and engines. He was well-known for his high-revving small-block engines, and he was also very fast. He raced several vehicles in many classes throughout the mid-‘80s.

Sexton set nine National Hot Rod Association and International Hot Rod Association world records at tracks such as Atlanta, Gainesville, Indianapolis, Union Hill, and Riverside.

Sexton has also been building cars and engines for other competitors and car lovers for over 40 years. He started his first machine shop on 5th Ave. in Nashville. Today he works out of his 4,000-square-foot, squeaky-clean shop in White House, Tenn., where he’s been for the past 17 years.

He remains in high-demand as a car and engine builder, specializing in racing chassis work, suspensions, engine builds and rebuilds, as well as his bulletproof two-speed racing powerglide transmission.
