Durable Hose Ends for Reliable Fluid Connections

When building high-performance automotive systems, the quality of your fluid connections can make all the difference between reliability and potential failure. Redhorse Performance hose ends are manufactured from aircraft-grade materials, precisely machined to exacting tolerances to ensure leak-free operation in even the most demanding applications. These AN hose end fittings are designed to withstand extreme pressure, temperature variations, and vibration while maintaining seal integrity.

Our hose ends feature full-flow designs that eliminate restrictions and optimize fluid delivery, whether you're working with fuel, oil, coolant, or brake systems. The anodized finishes not only provide aesthetic appeal to complement your engine bay but also offer enhanced corrosion resistance for long-lasting performance. Multiple configurations are available, including straight, 45-degree, 90-degree, and 180-degree options, allowing for proper routing and clearance in tight installation spaces. Each hose end is pressure-tested to ensure reliability when it matters most.

Multiple AN Sizes and Thread Types for Easy Installation

Redhorse Performance offers a comprehensive range of AN hose ends designed to accommodate virtually any automotive plumbing requirement. Our inventory includes sizes from -3AN to -20AN, ensuring compatibility with various fluid system applications from small vacuum lines to high-volume fuel delivery systems. This standardized AN sizing system (Army-Navy) provides consistent fitment across different manufacturers, making it easier to design and implement complex plumbing systems.

The threading options available include NPT (National Pipe Thread), BSPP (British Standard Parallel Pipe), and metric threads, ensuring compatibility with existing components and international standards. Our push-on style hose ends offer tool-free installation for certain applications, while our traditional AN fittings provide secure mechanical connections through precision threading. Each fitting is designed with installation convenience in mind, featuring wrench flats in accessible positions and knurled surfaces for improved grip during assembly. The color-coded anodizing also serves as a quick visual reference for different sizes, streamlining the identification process during complex installations or maintenance procedures.

Frequently Asked Question

What are hose ends?

Hose ends are commonly referred to as fittings or AN connections on a fluid assembly. In high-performance automotive applications, these are typically called AN(Army-Navy) fittings. These precision components include various configurations such as straight fittings, angled fittings (45°, 90°, 180°), and specialty configurations like SAE Quick Connect conversion, Banjo, ORB adapters and more.

Can you reuse Redhorse Performance hose ends?

Yes, Redhorse Performance hose ends can be reused independently of the hose in many applications. Our reusable hose end fittings are designed specifically for this purpose, allowing for removal and reinstallation without compromising the connection's integrity. The replacement process typically involves removing the fitting off the old/failed hose, properly inspecting and preparing the removed hose end to confirm it’s able to be reused, and installing it onto new hose. This modularity is particularly valuable for custom automotive applications where system modifications or repairs are common or happen often.

Can you reuse Hoses?

This one is tricky. With there being such a wide variety of usages and applications, we cannot give a clear yes or no when it comes to reusing hose- it all depends on what fluid/system was being plumbed and how old the hose is. Hoses can deteriorate over time. Depending on which Redhorse Performance series hose you use, along with what fluid you’re plumbing (and for how long), will be key factors to determine if you can reuse the hose.
For example, harsh/caustic fuels like e85 and methanol are hard on parts. Even hoses with special inner-liners meant for alcohol-based fuels, like the above mentioned, can deteriorate after many years of use so it’s good practice to replace them if you feel the line begins to stiffen and sounds like it cracks if you flex it. On the other hand, hoses that plumb less-harsh fluids like coolant or transmission fluid can be reused. The user just needs to be sure to inspect them and give the ‘flex test’ like stated above.
